Sedan den dagen har jag outtröttligt debatterat behovet av ökad kunskap i samhället om antimikrobiell resistens (AMR) och antibiotikaresistens — men också om det akuta behovet av ny antibiotika. Utan fungerande antibiotika står vi snart inför en verklighet som liknar medeltiden, där vanliga infektioner återigen blir livshotande och där modern sjukvård inte längre fungerar. Mitt möte med antibiotikaresistens förändrade min familjs liv. Trots detta nämns AMR knappt i de svenska valdebatterna 2026. Som patientföreträdare och grundare av Prematurföreningen Mirakel ser jag med oro på hur en av våra mest akuta framtidsutmaningar hamnar i skuggan av kortsiktiga politiska diskussioner.
